About us
The origin of Komet in Weil am Rhein since 1954 are machine or hacksaw blades made of HSS with special tooth shapes and geometries. Today we supply the specialist trade with highly efficient band, bow, saber, hand and circular saw blades.
Thus, Komet has long met the high demands of the industry in terms of rational and economical separation of different materials and has been a partner of the tool trade for more than 60 years, with innovation and continuity.
The know-how of the traditional saw blade production in terms of application, tooth geometries, materials and manufacturing processes determines the starting point for the further development since the name change to Wittmann-Komet in 2005. Thus, with medium-sized structures and with about 30 employees, further products such as the saber saw blade and the reed saw blade can be successfully established in the international market. Through the introduction of a practiced quality management system and the accompanying ISO 9001 certification, we always live up to our high standards, always following the motto "tradition obligates".

Foundation of a sales company: KOMET Stahlhalter GmbH.

Besigheim becomes the headquarters of KOMET.

Installation of a powerful vacuum curing oven.
